Please note that internet access cannot be provided at the conference this year.  You will need to rely on your own data plan and the coverage provided by your carrier (e.g. AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.) for any internet access during the conference.  For most people, this means that your smart phone may be able to access the internet but your computer would not.  For tablets, it would depend whether you are paying for a data plan for the device.

CARE is a unique professional development program that helps teachers handle the stresses and rediscover the joys of teaching. The entire program offers instruction in cognitive and emotion skills that help reduce stress by promoting understanding, recognition, and regulation of emotion. It introduces teachers to mindful awareness practices beginning with short periods of silent reflection. By practicing these skills, teachers learn to cultivate calmness, awareness, presence, compassion, empathy, and ability to listen. The overall goal of the workshop is to present some basic skills to participants that will help reduce stress and increase awareness and emotional responsiveness in the classroom.
